From our farm you can reach by a short walk through the vineyards or on the paved road, the town and center of Greve in Chianti, a town rich in history and art, where you can find many local craft shops, food and wine shops, wine bars, restaurants and pizzerias.
Within a few km of the farm there are seven World Heritage Sites by UNESCO but also there are a myriad of villages set in a charming landscape and wrapped in a very special atmosphere. We shall therefore indicate only the most famous.
Florence (km 30)
City of Art and Heritage. Florence with its museums, palaces and churches is home to many of the most important artistic treasures of the world.
Siena (km 45)
City of Art and Heritage. And 'one of the best preserved and beautiful medieval towns of Italy. In the heart of the city is the famous Piazza del Campo, the shell-shaped square where the famous Palio is held.
San Gimignano (km 38)
World Heritage Site. Famous for its architecture and for its beautiful medieval towers that make up the city is unique profile. In it's most flourishing period, the rich families of San Gimignano city's build as many as 72 towers as a symbol of their wealth and power. Today 14 of these remain and help make the small town atmosphere even more fascinating.
Volterra (km 60)
Volterra is the city of alabaster, of Etruscan origins. The Museum of alabaster, the Etruscan Museum and the Art Gallery gather together works of art, paintings and unique objects.
Lucca (km 100)
Lucca is famous for its defensive walls built in the Renaissance era and remain incredibly intact guarding its monumental center and its Cathedral.
Pisa (km 98)
University city and famous for its Miracle Square, the heart of the historic center, composed of the famous Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistry.
Monteriggioni (km 35)
Represents one of the most important fortified towns of the territory. It remains incredibly intact, as if time has stopped, from the hill where it is elegantly perched, it dominates the surrounding landscape.
HIKING
AND OPEN AIRACTIVITIES
By easy hikes to Mount St. Michael, on whose slopes lies the farm, where from its peak at over 800 meters above sea level, you can enjoy the unique view of Chianti and Valdarno Valley.
The area is included in the Park of San Michele, which offers numerous walking and cycling routes leading to Lamole and Volpaia and other small medieval villages of Chianti.
Other destinations on foot, for practiced walkers are the characteristic Borgo di Montefioralle, the village of Panzano and the town of Lamole.
