Our wine cellar is almost a sacred place for us, it is the workspace where the wine comes to life, grows, is enriched and matures for years following delicate processes that require constant care and attention.
Even in the cellar, as in the vineyard, our philosophy to innovate while keeping the name of tradition reigns. That's why, next to modern steel vats for fermentation at a controlled temperature, we have maintained the traditional concrete tanks, where the wine remains for a first refinement, before being poured into irreplaceable and traditional wooden casks, barrels and tonnaux.
Every February in Terre di Melazzano we decide on the years vintage blends using different grape varieties, we choose the right percentage to get stylish products and great persistence, to reflect the area's image and our commitment.
The winemaker like a painter, must act with skills, experience and imagination, if emotions are aroused, a bottle of wine, can move like a work of art.
The Chianti Classico is one of the most famous Italian red wines in the world and to which the very best grapes from the harvest are destined.
It is produced in a geographical area for the most part hilly of central Tuscany, characterized by different geological, physical and climatic conditions, between the provinces of Florence and Siena, according to production rules defined in the nineteenth century by Bettino Ricasoli, the man who also reorganized the main street of the territory, the current SR 222 Chiantigiana.
The noble product of these hills has the colour of ruby red, tending to garnet with aging, harmonious, dry, slightly tannic, which is refined over time to the soft velvety, intensely vinous and with perfume of violets.
The Chianti Classico wine can be consumed as a young wine, but it is better known after a medium to long-term aging, which maturescolour, aroma and unique flavour.
